For everything there is a time

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, And a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

– Ecclesiastes, 3:1-3:8.

In 2004, World Health Organization (WHO) declared that use of Ajinomoto or monosodium glutamate (MSG) is unsafe for consumption, but since there is no ban, is still rampantly used and consumed in the city and there is no official stricture against use of the harmful substance.

It is used to enhance taste of Chinese food. It stimulates secretion of pentagastrin acid in the stomach that leads to ulcers.

If not detected in time, ulcers can turn cancerous. MSG also forms Free Radicals that can damage the stomach cells.

Chinese dish, which is very popular and available in every corner of the city, make sure, it is not killing you silently. As per a study conducted by the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Research Institute, an increasing number of people here falling prey to stomach cancer induced by the harmful substance Ajinomoto used in Chinese foods.
