Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal won 38th gold for India by beating Malaysia’s M. Choo Wong in the women’s singles final at the Commonwealth Games on Thursday, 14th Oct 2010. The Gold won by Saina made all the difference. India winning 38th. Gold snatched the 2nd position in medal tally from England who won 37 Golds. Therefore Saina’s Gold medal is more than Gold because it has lifted India’s rank from third to second. Saina won the final 21-19, 23-21, 21-13.
Saina Nehwal, World No. three, created history today by becoming first Indian woman shuttler to win the single Gold in Badminton at the Commonwealth Games. Congratulation to her.
